Model High Senior to Present at the 2021 Georgia Junior Science & Humanities Symposium

Kendell Pewitt, from Model High School, is one of the 45 students selected from the state of Georgia to attend the virtual Georgia Junior Science & Humanities Symposium (GJSHS) as a presenter who will participate in the oral presentation competition February 28 - March 2, 2021.

Model High senior Pierce Fincher completes 1,000 pull-ups in 6-hour challenge; raises over $4,400 to benefit Community Kitchen of Rome.

Model High senior Pierce Fincher has never been one to shy away from a challenge. So, as he was selecting an idea for his Senior Project required for graduation, Fincher decided to use his physical strength to help a local organization dear to his heart, the Community Kitchen of Rome.

The Young Georgia Authors (YGA) writing competition encourages students to develop enthusiasm for and expertise in their writing, to provide a context to celebrate their writing successes, and to recognize student achievement in arts and academics.

Dual Enrollment Virtual Meeting - 2/9/2021

Dual enrollment allows eligible high school students to take college classes while they are still enrolled in high school. These classes count for both high school and college credit. High school students who complete dual-enrollment classes generally take fewer classes in college and save money on total college costs.
