 The Man at the Wheel: Tony Hays and the 28-Year Journey of Model Soccer

On May 14, as the Model High School girls soccer team pulls out of the parking lot to defend their GHSA State Championship title, the man behind the wheel of the bus will be doing more than just navigating traffic. He will be watching nearly three decades of his own legacy unfold in the rearview mirror.

 

MHS Earned 2026 AP Honor School Recognition

Model High School has earned 2026 AP Honor School recognition in SIX categories from the Georgia Department of Education, completing a full sweep of every category for which MHS was eligible based on 2025 AP exam results.

Morgan Pullum has been named head girls' volleyball coach at Model High School for the 2026-2027 school year. A standout athlete and experienced educator, Pullum is a 2014 graduate of West End High School in Walnut Grove, Alabama, and a 2018 graduate of Shorter University.

Charlie’s short film Break A Leg was recently screened at the Georgia Thespian Conference Showcase in Columbus, GA, earning a SUPERIOR rating, the highest score possible.
