Model High School senior Sara Grace Abernathy has been named a winner of the $2,500 National Merit Scholarship, one of the most prestigious academic honors awarded to high school seniors across the country.

The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) has announced that Sara Grace Abernathy from Model High School has been recognized as a 2025 Georgia Scholar.

Brynn Proctor, a student from Model High School, was crowned State Champion in Literary Analysis at the Literary A Division I competition last Saturday at Bremen High School. Her strong analytical skills and dedication to her studies earned her the top spot in this competitive category.
